THE CLIMB BACK TO THE TOP.

There are so many factors of fitness; speed, endurance strength and flexibility. Striving for improvement seems, through training makes one a more focuses disciplined and mentally tough as well as fit. Lately I feel like my attributes of fitness are hurting, I suppose the truth hurts. Fitness is all relative as well though and I can still ride a bike for a couple hours a It is really good to be on the horse again.

I suppose the opposite is also true about training and from mental focus discipline and toughness and determination one can create, shall I say forge a mountain of fitness the likes of which could be almost frightening. That is my goal.

Today I did my first moutain bike ride in a month! My back managed pretty well. The stance part was the last time I climbed Massenutten mountain I was in my finest form, crushing some Vo2 max intervals in the big ring up the 1000 ft climb. Today I was in the Granny gear pushing my heart into a level I hadn't been too and it was hard. I can normal "cruise" up the mountain at a high tempo in 14 min today took 17 plus at a higher effort. Today I realized how hard it is to do when out of shape!

It will be a long trip back to my top form but I have the time to do it. I just need some serious man hours wearing each molecule off my tires one by one.

Physical Therapy and Training.

Yo peeps.

Nothing too earth moving today, A big time return to training was news enough for me though. I had a brisk 2hr mtb ride and nearly two hours at pyhsical therapy so I was tired and hunger afterward. It is really strange to miss feelings like that but I did in all my time surfing chairs and couches during my early recovery. I talked to the therapist and he said he doesn't see a reason why I can't do La Ruta de los conquestedores, Awesome. The race looks diabolical and there is going to be some world class comp there in the form of Thomas Frishnecht and the winning duo from the trans rockies Adreas Hestler and Martin Lezarski. The Costa Ricans will still be super strong as they will be in full gear for there bigest mountian bike race.

Well thats it for now I got some ZZZ's to catch and some much need MILES!
